Fresh firing was reported from the site of a gunfight between the militants and the government forces in Warpora area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday.
A militant has reportedly died in the gunfight so far that broke out late last night following an eight-hour search operation.
Reports said that a fresh exchange of gunfire was reported after a lull of several hours.
Meanwhile, clashes erupted in Warpora after youth tried to march towards the site of the gunfight.
Reports said that market remained closed in Sopore town due to the gunfight. However, traffic was plying on the town roads, they said.
