Sopore shuts on 3rd straight day to mourn militant’s killing

Complete shutdown was observed on 3rd consecutive day in Sopore town of Baramulla district on Saturday to mourn the killing of local LeT militant killed along with commander Naveed Jatt in a gunfight with government forces in Budgam on Wednesday.

All the shops and other business establishments remained closed in the town, public transport was off the roads while thin movement of private transport was witnessed on the roads. Early morning some youths appeared at different places of the town and pelted stones on vehicles coming from other adjoining areas. 

   

Mehraj ud din Khan son of Mushtaq Ahmad of New Colony Sopore was killed in a gunfight at Chattergam Wednesday morning.
