A student was hit with pellets in his eyes during clashes between students and security forces in Sopore town of north Kashmir on Tuesday.
Irfan Ahamd son of Abdul Ahad of Tantraypora Reban,Rafiabad, was injured as security forces fired pellets on students of DegreeCollege Sopore who were protesting inside college campus against the killing ofmilitant commander Zakir Musa.
While shouting pro-freedom slogans the students tried tomarch outside college campus but were stopped by police, resulting in massiveclashes in the area in which many students sustained pellet injuries.
Irfan was rushed to SDH Sopore from where he was immediatelyshifted to SMHS Srinagar for further treatment.
COLLEGE STUDENTS CLASH WITH GOVT FORCES IN GANDERBAL:
Clashes erupted between students of degree college Ganderbaland security forces in Ganderbal on Tuesday.
Witnesses and reports said that the students held a protestdemonstration and raised pro-freedom slogans and tried to march out of thecampus. However, a posse of security forces intercepted them, triggeringclashes.
“The students pelted stones on forces,” they said.
Police used teargas shells to disperse the protesters.
