South Kashmir: CRPF man wounded in Pulwama militant attack

A paramilitary soldier was injured after militants attacked a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday, reports said.

News agency ANI reported that the militants hurled a grenade and fired at the camp of 183 battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Newa village earlier today. 

   

The grenade didn’t explode, but a CRPF man was injured in the shootout. He was shifted to a hospital for treatment, said the report.

Following the attack, forces launched a cordon-and-search-operation to nab the militants.
