South Kashmir shuts against militant killings

A shutdown is being observed in Anantnag, Shopian and Pulwama districts of south Kashmir on Sunday to mourn the death of eight militants in separate gunfights.

A shutdown is being observed in Anantnag, Shopian and Pulwama districts of south Kashmir on Sunday to mourn the death of eight militants in separate gunfights.

Reports said that all shops and other business establishments are closed in these areas while public transport is off the roads.

At least eight militants, including top commanders, were killed in separate gunfights in Anantnag and Shopian districts. At least four militants have been surrounded by the forces in Kachdoora village.
