Gunmen on Saturday night shot at and injured a special police officer in Budgam district.
A police officer said that the gunmen fired upon the SPO, Muhammad Hafiz at Chrawni village near CharariSharief.
“In the incident, Hafiz, who is posted at SDPO office CharariSharief, suffered serious bullet wounds in his leg and was shifted to the nearby hospital where from he was referred to Srinagar hospital for specialized treatment,” the officer added.
