Suspected militants threw a grenade at the residence of a former National Conference lawmaker in Murran area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday afternoon.
A police official said that at around 5 pm suspectedmilitants hurled a grenade towards the residence of Ghulam Mohiudin Mir.
“The grenade exploded with a deafening boom after hitting the compound wall, causing noinjuries or loss of life”, the official added.
He said that following the attack, security forces rushed to the spot and carried out searchesto nab the attackers.
