Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (H) chairman Javaid Ahmad Mir along with Yaar Muhammad Khan and Faroze Sarfaz today visited SMHS Hospital here to enquire about the health of several pellet victims, appealing to the resistance leadership to take care of them.
"The delegation on the occasion interacted with the pellet victims who lost their vision after forces used deadly pellets to disperse the protestors held nook and corner of the Kashmir during last four months," a spokesman of the Front, in a statement today, said.
Javaid Ahmad Mir on the occasion appealed Hurriyat leadership to take care of pellet victims and "not to leave them to fend for themselves."
"We can't leave them on the Government's mercy. The responsibility lies on the Kashmir nation to look after the pellet victims who lost their vision for our better political future. Need of the hour is to provide our moral and financial support to the pellet victims," the spokesman quoted Javaid Mir as saying, appealing to Human Rights Watch, UNHRC, NHRC, Amnesty International and other human rights organizations to stress upon India "to end the use of pellet gun like weapons on the people of Kashmir."
