Srinagar, Dec 3: The government Friday asked the school teachers to hold weekly online interactions with the students during the winter vacations announced for the government and recognised private schools.
The order in this regard has been issued by Principal Secretary of School Education Department, Bishwajit Kumar Singh.
As per the order, schools up to class 8th would observe winter vacations from December 6 to February 26 while the classes from 9th to 12th would observe winter vacations from December 13 to February 26.
“There will be online interaction of teaching faculty with students through WhatsApp groups or Google-meet at least once a week,” the order reads.
The government has also asked the teacher to remain available for any query or doubt of any student on phone or WhatsApp.
“The teachers will ensure completion of all ongoing exams of regular academic session 2020-21 for different classes,” the order said.
However, the government has warned the school heads of strict action for any violation in following the calendar of winter vacations.
“Any default on part of the Heads of the Institutions in observance of the calendar will attract strict action under the rules,” the order said.
