Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH) Jammu Kashmir today condemned the continued detention of its activist Sheikh Sartaj Ahmad of Islamabad (Anantnag) who was arrested by police a few days back.

Lauding his role during recent people's uprising, a spokesman of the THE, in a statement today, said, "Sartaj Ahmad exhibited his commitment and determination and his spirits were not let down by callous approach of police and agencies."

"Sheikh Sartaj participated in peaceful processions and demonstrations and his all activities were peaceful and as such his arrest is not justified," the spokesman said, adding that "The rulers are not following any ethics and it is a slur on their so called Vision as they are pushing state into an age of barbarism."
