Tehreek-e-Hurriyat on Monday said that its district president Anantnag Mir Hafizullah is receiving threat calls from unknown numbers for the past one month.
In a statement here a TeH spokesman said, “Authorities should verify and locate the origin of these calls and make it public. If any untoward incident happens the government would be responsible for it.”
He said, “Since past one month some unknown people are suspiciously roaming around Mir Hafizullah’s house. They have been knocking at the doors and windows and inquiring about Mir Hafizullah. His entire family is living under fear and threat.”
The spokesman said, “Many pro-freedom activists and leaders have been targeted by unknown people earlier as well and it seems that under a well thought-out plan, some forces are strengthening and backing these hidden hands to intimidate and harass not only pro freedom leaders and activists but their family members as well.”
