Tehreek-e-Mazahmat today said its chairman Bilal Sidiqi was today re-arrested by police after he was granted bail by court.
In a statement TeM spokesman Shabir Zarger said "Bilal Sidiqee was arrested during current people's uprising and lodged in Central jail Srinagar. He was released on bail but was re-arrested by state police and lodged at some unknown place."
"We condemned state authorities for the action. Arbitrary arrests and detentions won't deter us from pursuing the freedom movement. We hail persistence, steadfastness and sacrifices rendered by our incarcerated chairman. Till now Bilal Sidiqee has served 18 years of detention in different jails of within and outside the state," Zarger added.
