Srinagar, May 6: PDP President Mehbooba Mufti on Monday hit hard to BJP over rising militant attacks in Pir Panchal region.
She condemned the recent attack there. Mehbooba Mufti while talking to reporters in Srinagar said under BJP rule peaceful and militancy-free areas are witnessing militant attacks, reports a local news agency KNS.
“Those areas which were peaceful and militancy free are now witnessing militant attacks. I condemn these attacks but let BJP answer why Pir Panchal region which was peaceful is now seeing militant attacks,” she said.
A soldier of Indian Air Force (IAF) was killed while four others were injured when a convoy of IAF vehicles was ambushed by the terrorists at Shaistar in Poonch district on Saturday evening. Following the attack, a massive Cordon and Search Operation (CASOs) was launched in different parts of dense forests and adjoining areas.
