Srinagar June 19: Police along with security forces on Sunday claimed to have killed two terrorists in a gunfight in DH Pora area of south Kashmir's Kulgam district.
"KulgamEncounterUpdate: 01 more #terrorist killed (Total 02). #Operation in progress. Further details shall follow," a police spokesman said.
In a separate statement, police identified the slain duo as LeT's Haris Sharief of Srinagar and Zakir Padder of Kulgam.
The encounter started after security forces cordoned the area following a tip off.
Another encounter is underway in Lolab area of north Kashmir's Kupwara district.
