Ummat- e-Islami chairman and Mirwaiz of South Kashmir Qazi Ahmad Yasir today strongly reacted to the  New Delhi's "inhuman" approach, saying that "the Indian state is closing the doors to dialogue by dubbing every other person as Pakistan backed element."

"Moreover, the state government is adding fuel to the fire by making irresponsible and instigative statements. The Indian state should initiate a credible dialogue process with the Pakistan state taking on board the main stakeholders of the dispute— Kashmiris.  But Indian state is murdering innocent Kashmiris, torturing them. The dialogue cannot be held in such conditions.  Track 2 dialogues, seminars, back channel dialogues or anything of that sort is not the requirement of the time. We well know what happened to the report of interlocutors in 2010," Qazi Yasir, who continues to be under house detention for the last 51 days, in a statement today.

"It is time for India to end the deadlock and stop committing crimes against humanity in Kashmir. Only then we can initiate a dialogue process."

"The members of Ummat e Islami are being harassed by the law enforcers.  The member of Youth UeI has been detained for the second time under PSA. Rouf Ahmed who is the sole bread earner of  his family has a two year old son. The house of the organizer of Ummat e Islami was raided in during night, the window panes of the house were broken, and inmates threatened which deserves to be condemned," Qazi Yasir, in a statement today, said.

He said "the members of religious wing Moulana Irshad Ahmed Attari, Moulana Nisar Ahmed Nayeemi are being detained frequently by the police for addressing people in pro freedom rallies throughout  southern Kashmir."

Reacting to the propaganda in the name of 5% and 95%,  Mirwaiz Qazi Yasir said, "The state government is using the sympathy card to earn the lost trust of people which is next to impossible."

He condemned the thwarting of peaceful rally by police at Rampura, Islamabad (Anantnag).

"The incompetent PDP government has just added to the woes of people by conducting more raids especially during the nights." He condemned the arrests of Advocate Babar of Doda, other pro resistance activists, pro freedom youth and asked people to stand against the arrest of the youth. He paid rich tributes to all the martyrs.
