Traders concerned over deaths in road accidents on highway

Shehar e Khaas Traders Association on Monday expressed grief over the demise of Waseem Azad who was killed after shooting stones hit his vehicle on Srinagar-Jammu National highway on Saturday.

A delegation of the Association, led by its President, NazirAhmad Shah visited the house of the deceased and extended sympathy.

   

Among others who visited the house of deceased included UmarGhani, Tariq Buch, Waseem Khan and Haji Nisar. They expressed concern overincreasing number of deaths on the highway.

Azad was killed while another person was injured when theirvehicle was hit by a shooting stone near Marog area in Ramban district on thehighway on Saturday.

Police officials said a shooting stone hit a Creta car bearing number (JK01AA-9863), which was on its way to Jammu from Srinagar, near Marog Ramban area, resulting in the on spot death of Azad and injuries to other person.
