Train services resume in Kashmir after daylong suspension

Train services resumed in Kashmir valley on Thursday after remaining suspended on Wednesday due to a strike called by the separatists against civilian killings in forces’ action.

All trains will remain as per schedule today between Baramulla in north Kashmir and Banihal in Jammu region, said an official.

The service was suspended on Wednesday following a shutdown call issued by Joint Resistance Leadership – an amalgam of separatist outfits – in the Valley against civilian killings.
