
A complete shutdown was observed on second consecutive day in South Kashmir's Tral township on Thursday against the killing of two Jaish militants.
All shops, business establishments, government and private offices remained closed while public transport was off the roads.
On October 30, two JeM militants Usman Hyder, a Pakistani and Showkat Ahmad Khan of Hundoora Tral were killed in a gunfight at Chankitar.
An eyewitness said that scores of people from different areas arrived in Hundoora to offer condolences and prayers for Khan.
Contingents of police and CRPF troopers were deployed at sensitive locations in the town to prevent protests, an official said.
