
On the last day of fiscal year 2017-18, over Rs 1450 crore were disbursed by directorate general of accounts and treasuries in Jammu and Kashmir to clear pending liabilities on account of various heads.
Director general accounts and treasures, Ishaq Wani told Greater Kashmir that "estimated Rs 1450 crore were disbursed today by treasuries across the state. The released amount was paid to clear pending bills of contractors, pensioners etc."
The disbursed amount was paid on account of pending bills of contractors, GP funds of employees and gratuity of pensioners, besides other official expenditures incurred by the government during fiscal year 2017-18.
