Two Jaish associates arrested in south Kashmir’s Pulwama: Police

Srinagar, Dec 20:Police on Monday claimed to have arrested two militant associates of Jaish-i-Mohammad outfit in south Kashmir Pulwama district.

A police spokesman said that the accused duo identified by him as Umer Ramzan son of Mohammad Ramzan Wani of Brabandina and Javid Ahmad Malla son of Ali Mohammad of Khelan were held with “incriminating material of JeM” by Pulwama police with assistance of 55 RR and 182 Bn CRPF.

   

The two, police said, were involved in providing shelter,logistics and other support to the militants as well as in transporting of arms/ ammunition and explosive material for the militants in Awantipora and Tral areas.

Besides, the arrested miliant associates were in touch with JeM commanders, it added.

A Case under relevant sections of law stands registered against them in Police Station Litter, police said.
