Two militants were killed and a CRPF officer injured in the ongoing gunfight in Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday.
Earlier, an army soldier was injured in the firefight that broke out after forces launched a search operation in Nazneenpora village of Tral following inputs about the presence of militants there.
An official said bodies of the slain militants were lying at the gunfight site.
Reports said that the house in which militants were hiding was detonated with explosives by the forces.
Meanwhile, massive clashes are going on near the site of the gunfight and at main bus stand Tral.
Locals alleged that forces used civilians as human shields during the clashes.
