Twomilitants were killed and an army soldier wounded in an ongoing gunfightat a village in south Kashmir's poll bound Shopian district on early Fridaymorning.
Apolice official said the militants opened fire on the forces from a residentialhouse during a cordon and search operation in Aadkhara village of Imam Sahabarea of the district.
Hesaid that the fire was immediately returned, leading to an encounter in whichtwo militants were killed. Their identity was not known immediately.
Thefiring had stopped when this report was being filed. The official saidthat there are reports of third militant killing as well. "The report was beingverified," he said.
