An unidentified male body was recovered beneath snow near Kapren village of Verinag in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday, officials said.
Quoting the officials, news agency GNS reported some locals spotted the body and immediately informed the police about it.
Soon a police team reached the spot and recovered the semi decomposed body.
They said that a case has been registered and an investigation has been set into motion.
