Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has stressed upon Center to engage with all stake holders to restore normalcy in Kashmir.
This was stated by Mehbooba during a meeting with Bhartiya Janta Party's (BJP) point man on Kashmir and General Secretary Ram Madhav held here on Wednesday evening.
The meeting between Mehbooba and the BJP leader lasted for more than hour. During the meeting Madhav expressed grief over civilian killings and assured Chief Minister all possible help from central Government.
A senior BJP leader privy to developments told Greater Kashmir that during the meeting, Chief Minister told the senior BJP leader about the various initiatives being carried to normalize the situation. "Chief Minister told Madhav that besides government machinery, help of civil society and people is being utilized to restore normalcy," he said adding that Mehbooba hoped that normalcy will return soon to the state.
Mehbooba according to the BJP leader told Madhav that there is urgent need of serious dialogue with all stake holders. "This unrest is an opportunity to start dialogue with all stakeholders," Mehbooba told Madhav.
The senior BJP leader said Madhav hinted that some senior party minister would likely visit Kashmir in near future.
