V-C KU visits south campus

Vice-Chancellor (VC), University of Kashmir (KU), Prof Talat Ahmad visited Varsity’s south campus at Anantnag to take stock of developmental activities.

A statement said the V-C interacted with students andfaculty members. The V-C was accompanied by Registrar, KU, Nisar Ahmad Mir; SpecialSecretary to VC, Tanveer Ahmad Shah and Executive Engineer, KU, Mufti BurhanShah, among other members from construction division.

   

While inspecting academic and non-academic blocks of thecampus, Prof Talat specifically emphasized on augmentation of hostel facility.

Prof Talat assured his complete support and assistance interms of recruitment of staff, augmentation of hostel facilities, speeding upprocess for completion of library block as well as Nursing Institute.

He extended full cooperation in conducting placement drivefor students of the campus, besides providing scholarship to research scholars.

As a mark of goodwill gesture, the VC and other dignitariesplanted Deodar (Cedrus) saplings in the main lawn of the campus in front ofadministration block.

The Registrar stressed upon the development and proper workculture among teaching and non teaching faculty as well as making plans forutilization of funds within the financial year.

Earlier, newly appointed Director of the campus Dr AijazAhmad Wani welcomed the VC and other dignitaries and apprised them aboutvarious academic programs and projects going on at the campus. This wasfollowed by a detailed power point presentation by Dr Mohd Iqbal Bhat.
