The visiting delegation of the European Union envoys in India, who arrived in Srinagar this morning on a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir, met Mayor of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), Junaid Azim Mattu and other elected representatives at the municipal and district levels.
The 20-member delegation,, which drove straight to Magam on Srinagar outskirts to meet the local governance representatives there, reached Hotel Lalit at Gupkar Road this afternoon where Mayor SMC received them.
Besides Mattu, newly elected DDC Chairpersons, BDC Chairpersons and Municipal Council Chairpersons were also present on the occasion, an official told Greater Kashmir.
The envoys are scheduled to reach winter capital Jammu tomorrow.
