WAR ON DRUGS | Vehicle bought from narcotic proceeds attached in Baramulla

Srinagar, Mar 26:  A vehicle bought from the proceeds of narcotics was attached in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday, Police said.

A statement of J&K Police issued here said that a vehicle (JK01M 7247) worth lakhs of rupees, belonging to drug peddler Ashiq Illahi Parray of Lawaypora Shalteng, Srinagar was attached.

   

The statement said that continuing its action against drug peddlers, Police took action against the drug peddler under Sections 68-E read with 68-F (1) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

It said that Parray was linked with case FIR No 368/2023 under Section 8/21-29 of the NDPS Act of Police Station Pattan.

The statement said that the property was identified as illegally acquired property during an investigation and enquiry conducted by Police.

It said that the property was prima facie acquired from illicit trafficking in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances by the drug peddler.
