The general-officer-commanding of army’s Srinagar-based 15 corps, lieutenant general AK Bhatt, Wednesday said that Lashkar-e-Toiba commander Naveed Jhat, who was killed in Budgam, was “like any other militant for us, but was very active on social media.”
“There was an encounter in Chattergam, Budgam where we killed two militants. One of the slain militants was identified as Naveed Jatt alias Hanzullah. He had managed to flee from the police custody in February this year,” Bhatt told reporters here.
“He (Jatt) was like any other militant for us but the only thing about him is that he was very active on social media. The way we killed him, we will kill other commanders (of various outfits) as well,” he said.
