Waste Segregation Plants coming up in Budgam

District Development Commissioner Budgam Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today said that the Rural Development Department will construct Solid Waste Segregation and Management Plants in every village of Budgam district.

This was disclosed by the DDC while inspecting two identified sites of waste segregation projects coming up at a cost of Rs 35 lakh each under Swachh Bharat Mission at Galwanpora and Sheikhpora.

   

During her inspection, the DDC said that solid waste management projects will be taken up in every village of the district to ensure proper garbage/waste lifting, segregation and dumping through different channels.

The DDC said that two kanals of land have been identified for each segregation shed to be constructed at both Galwanpora and Sheikhpora villages.

She directed the concerned to start construction work on the sheds including roads and boundary walls as soon as possible.
