Woman hit by teargas shell in Tral clashes, hospitalised

A woman was hit by a teargas shell fired by the government forces at the protesters during clashes in Tral town of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday.

Reports said that the youth hurled stones at the forces’ vehicles at Bus Stand Tral today afternoon. The forces, they said, responded by firing tear gas shells to disperse the protesters. 

   

An eye witness said a woman, identified as Dishada (23), wife of Javed Ahmed Reshi of Tral was hit by a tear gas shell.

Dilshada, who had suffered an injury in her eye was shifted to SDH Tral where from she was referred to Srinagar for specialised treatment.

No police officer was immediately available for the comments.
