District Development Commissioner (DDC), BudgamDr Syed SehrishAsgar today presided over one-day workshop on preparedness of School Disaster Management Plan under National School Safety Plan.
The workshop was organized by Department of Education at NewConference Hall Budgam. The workshop was attended by ZEOs, Principals Higher Secondary Schools andHeadmasters of government as well as private institutions.
During the workshop, demonstration was given regarding howto tackle the emergencies during any eventuality of manmade or naturaldisasters.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC appreciated concernedauthorities for organizing knowledge based workshops which are useful foremergency requirements. She said keeping in view the vulnerability of naturaland manmade disasters that Kashmir valley faces, the concerned should be readywith resources in full gear to tackle it.
During the workshop, the DDC urged for strong motivation anddedication from all concerned towards their profession and ensuring qualityeducation. Earlier, the DDC convened a meeting to review the various aspectspertaining to smooth functioning of key sectors relating to the educationsector. CEO Budgam presented the detailed view of education sector of the district.
