Terming the police stations and interrogation centers in Kashmir as "worst places than Abu Gareeb jail", Chairman JKLF Muhammad Yasin Malik on Wednesday said, "hundreds of innocent youth are being humiliated, tortured and kept in miserable conditions in lock ups at various police stations."
Recalling his detention at Shopian police station, Malik, in a statement today, said, "I saw many young boys in police lockup where they had nothing to save them from severe cold. Torture, humiliations and other oppressive methods are being employed in these police stations thus turning these places worst than the Abu Gareeb jail. So-called rulers and their administration have let loose a reign of terror on Kashmiris but they should remember that these oppressive measures can never succeed in defeating the resolve of Kashmiri people."
Meanwhile, Yasin Malik has paid rich tributes to the Front slain activists Ghulam Mohi- ud- Din Mir alias Hyder Ali, Ghulam Ahmad Mir alias Jamal ud Din, Abdul Hamid Azad and Tanveer Ahmad Ganai of Budgam on their anniversary.
