Yasin Malik hails resilience of Kashmiri prisoners
Chairman Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik hailed the resilience of Kashmiri prisoners who are serving life imprisonment or have been languishing in jails on other charges.
Malik questioned the silence of international community over the plight of jail inmates.
According to a statement issued here, Malik said that "hundreds of Kashmiris have been imprisoned for life or long periods while as thousands still remain incarcerated under laws like PSA."
"No one from international community is concerned about the plight of these people who have been imprisoned for perusing a political struggle. Kashmiri prisoners like doctor Muhammad Qasim Faktoo who today completed 24 years in jail,, Dr.Muhammad Shafi Khan Shareati, Ghulam Qadir Bhat, Maqsood Ahmad Butt, Ghulam muhammad Butt, Barkat Ali Khan, Muhammad Sadiq Kajar, Saiyee Muhammad Kajar, Mehandiya Kajar, Feroz Ahmad Mir, Pervaiz Ahmad Mir,Farooq Ahmad Sheikh, Abdul Gani Goni, ,Javed Ahmad Khan, Mushtaq Ahmad Mala, Muhammad Aslam, Sheikh Imran, Muhammad Akeel Wani, , Gul Muhammad Khan, Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, Abdul Hamid Teeli, Mehmood Topiwla, Muhammad Hussain Malik, Muhammad Ishaq Pall, Shabir Ahmad Bhat, Abdul Ahad Naik, Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, Nisar Mirza, Bilal Ahmad Kota , Ali Muhammad Hasanabad, Latif Ahmad Waja were convicted falsely against al norms of justice and law and now after putting them in jails for years ,rulers are using every tactic to prolong their incarceration," Malik said.
