A youth died in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district after branch of a Chinar tree fell on him on Tuesday.
Imtiyaz Ahmad Kumar, 25 died after branch of a Chinar fell on him while he was taking a stroll through Sumbal town, reports said.
Following the incident, locals along with dead body of Kumar took to streets and staged protests against administration for its failure to prune decayed branches of Chinar in the town.
They said despite repeated appeals made to local administration.
