Sopore Oct 13: A 20-year-old youth is feared dead after he drowned in river jhelum in Sopore area of north kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday.
Reports said the youth Nazir Ahmad Cheechi, son of Mohammad Yousuf Cheechi a resident of Bandipora slipped into the river in Seer Jagir area of Sopore this afternoon after which a rescue operation was launched jointly by SDRF, police assisted by locals.
However no trace of the youth was found, when this report was filed.
