Chairman Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Geelani paid tributes to slain militants at Amargrah Sopore and said "these youth are sacrificing their precious lives for a sacred cause."
"It is a cherished and patriotic mission. These youth are putting a huge responsibility on our shoulders. We are duty bound to carry their mission to its logical end," Geelani said in a statement.
Blaming New Delhi for "continuous bloodshed" in JK, Geelani said that "we are peace loving nation and rigid, stubborn attitude of India is the root cause of all problems."
"Those who strive for a sacred cause, never die however achieve an eternal life and find place in history. They are sacrificing their lives for our future and their sacrifices won't go waste or unnoticed," he said.
Geelani urged New Delhi to "desist from their rigid and stubborn approach." He condemned the arrests of youth in Sopore. "After the two youth were slain in an encounter, police arrested Muhammad Syed Magrey, Tariq Ahmad Bhat, Muhammad Maqbool Sheikh and Amir Rather (Trach Kandi) Junaid Wani and Ishfaq Sheikh (Nat Noosa).
Meanwhile, Hurriyat (G) has thanked Pakistan and Kashmiris across the world for observing the 'Kashmir Solidarity Day'.
