Youth slips into Jhelum during sand extraction in Pulwama, feared dead

A search operation has been launched to trace the youth's body.

Srinagar, June 7: A 24-year-old youth is feared dead after he slipped into river Jhelum in Kakapora area of south Kashmir's Pulwama district on Monday morning.

Quoting official sources, news agency KNO reported that Manzoor Ahmad, son of Mushtaq Ahmed Murad resident of Hayatpora area of Chadoora slipped into Jhelum while extracting sand.

They said that after receiving the information search operation has been launched to retrieve the youth's body.
