Zewan attack: Injured constable succumbs, toll three

Police has said that the attack was carried out by three militants of “Kashmir Tigers” it said is an “offshoot” of Jaish-e-Mohammad outfit.

Srinagar, Dec 14: The death toll in the militant attack on a police bus on Srinagar-Jammu highway near Zewan area on Srinagar outskirts rose to three as one among the 12 injured police personnel succumbed to wounds at a hospital on Tuesday.

Quoting sources, news agency GNS reported that Rameez Ahmad, son of Mohammad Amin of Yachama Ganderbal succumbed to his injuries this morning.

Besides Rameez, two more cops Assistant Sub Inspector Ghulam Hassan of Top Neel Bharthand Ramban and Safique Ali (Sgct) of Mamakoti Mahore in Reasi district were killed in the attack on Monday evening.
