Jammu: The government on Monday notified 1756 posts, including 221 gazetted and 1535 non-gazetted posts, transferred to Union Territory of Ladakh.
As per GAD order, the posts notified will be in addition to the 1284 non-gazetted posts transferred by the School Education Department and will also be subject to any modification, in consultation with the Union Territory of Ladakh.
“Further, the administrative departments/organizations shall make necessary changes in the relevant recruitment rules on account of above transfer or listing,” read an order issued by the GAD Commissioner.
The order mentioned that the apportionment of Assets, Liabilities and Posts of the erstwhile State of Jammu & Kashmir between the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh was notified vide S.O. 339 dated October 30,2020. “Annexure-I to S.O 339 dated October 30,2020, provides for detailed listing of additional 325 Gazetted and 3000 Non-Gazetted posts from the overall strength of Union territory of Jammu & Kashmir to the Union territory of Ladakh.
The matter regarding listing of additional posts in the above manner was taken up with the Union Territory of Ladakh which provided the list of posts identified for their transfer to the Union Territory of Ladakh,” the order mentioned.
Consequent upon the approval of the competent authority, the School Education department transferred 1284 non-gazetted posts (Teacher Grade II & III) to the Union Territory of Ladakh, against 1320 non-gazetted posts listed by the Union Territory of Ladakh vide government order No. 102-Edu of 2021 dated April 22,2021, it added. “
