With a view to giving a push to the Aadhaar enrolment in Leh district, a two-day training programme for Aadhaar, officials/operators of Leh was organised on 10th and 11th March which concluded today.
Experts from UIDAI were deputed to Leh for imparting the training for the officials and operators of Leh and Kargil districts.
Apart from fourteen moving ICDS enrolment operators who will enroll children upto five years of age, two centres for the general public will be operated in J&K Bank branches, one Aadhaar enrolment centre with Department of Post in Leh and four centres with School Education Department. All the enrolment centres will be operational within a week’s time.
Saugat Biswas, Secretary, IT Department, who is alsoDivisional Commissioner, Ladakh informed that in addition another six machineswill become operational in the ICDS department shortly whose services will beavailable in the far off areas of Leh. He also informed that the districtadministration will facilitate Aadhaar enrolment camps in needy areas in sometime.
