The religious leaders while addressing a huge gathering at Masjid Chutey-ranthak and Imam Bara threw lights on the importance of the teachings of Imam Hussain (RA). "Ashura symbolizes the struggle against cruelty, injustice and oppression of Yazeed. Imam Hussain (RA) achieved martyrdom because of his devotion to the eternal truth," they said.
"Yoom-e-Ashura is a day of mourning and remembering the greatest sacrifice of Imam Husain to safeguard the religion of Islam and Islamic principles from Yazeed who wanted to destroy it," leaders said.
