Srinagar, March 7: The house of veteran journalist and former bureau head of Reuters in Kashmir, Sheikh Mushtaq was destroyed in a devastating fire at Indra Nagar in Srinagar on Tuesday.
People close to the family said that the fire appeared in the first floor of the house at around 9 am.
The family, housing in the ground floor, was alerted by the neighbours, who helped in dousing the flames. “The first floor and the attic were completely damaged,” said a family member.
