Incessant rains: Class work to remain suspended in Kupwara schools

Kupwara, Apr 29: In view of inclement weather and flood like situation in several areas of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, administration has decided to suspended classwork in all schools upto 12th class on Monday.

Chief Education Officer Kupwara Abdul Majeed told Greater Kashmir that the decision has been taken in view of inclement weather and avalanche warning issued by JKDMA.

   

He said that classwork upto 12th class shall remain suspended in all government and private schools, however teaching and non teaching staff shall attend the duties to monitor the situation and ensure safety of institutional assets of their respective institutions.

An official communiqué in this regard reads, “In view of inclement weather and avalanche warning issued by JKDMA, the class work in all the schools is suspended across the District on 29-4-2024 as a precautionary measure for the safety of students.However the teaching/ Non- teaching staff shall attend their duties to monitor the situation and ensure safety of institutional assets of their respective institutions”.
