Ramban, Mar 28: Srinagar- Jammu National Highway remained open for two-way traffic of light-medium and heavy vehicles on Thursday.
However, traffic authorities said traffic movement remains slow due to the breakdown of a few heavy vehicles and a single road, poor surface condition at Dalwass, Mehar-Cafeteria, Ramban, Panthyal Magarkote, Shalgari, Nachlana, and at other places between Nashri and Banihal on highway.
Traffic officials monitoring the regulation of traffic in Ramban said that the highway remained open and hundreds of light medium and heavy vehicles had crossed the Nashri-Banihal sector for their respective destinations without any interruption during the day.
They said heavy load carriers are heading towards Kashmir and Jammu in a regulated manner.
