Srinagar: Azra Shakeel Khan, an author from Shopian, released her first book “Spirits of Epione”.

Azra said, “Spirits of Epione” is a collection of soulful poetry and feelings which gives a soothing touch to all un-rested minds. “These poems offer an insight into various colours of life, the pain of separation from loved ones, beautiful shades of romantic life and the struggles one goes through in his or her life.”

According to her poems are based on the real life experiences of author, each poem evokes the natural world and endless fascination for contemporary readers. “Moreover, the book talks about beauty of Creator and His creations.

Azra Shakeel, is a law student in Kashmir University), naturalist, social activist. She says she is passionate about writing and believes it is one of the smartest form of expression. She is highly inspired by nature and beauty of Kashmir. She added that she writes for herself, for her soul's satisfaction and for those who are in low spirits and drained in every way.

"The book -Spirits of Epione- is a small attempt, I will contribute more to literature in future and will not ever give up. The book, I have written, will surely impact readers’ lives. I write articles for newspapers. Apart from that, I take part in social events as I want to be present for society in every positive way. I find writing a medium to articulate my ideas and experiences, “ Azra said.
