Srinagar, Nov 9: Commenting on the Hurriyat Conference (M) senior leader Prof Abdul Gani Bhat's speech at a seminar in New Delhi, the Dukhtaran-i-Millat chief Asiya Andrabi said it reflected Hurriyat (M) stand.
"Since Prof Bhat was representing Hurriyat (M) at the seminar, the views expressed by him there could not be his own but of the Mirwaiz led Hurriyat only," said Asiya, according to a statement on Monday.
Prof Bhat had during the seminar in New Delhi on Saturday said Hurriyat (M) was willing to sit with NC and PDP to evolve a plan of action for finding a peaceful solution to the Kashmir issue.
"The freedom movement of Kashmir has been the victim of sabotage since 1931. Muslim Conference was formed to liberate Kashmir but later changed into National Conference by Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah to secularize it. The National Conference strengthened the accession with Kashmir by signing Nehru-Sheikh, Indira-Abdullah, Rajeev-Farooq and now Rahul-Omar accords. How is it possible that taking along the pro-India parties like NC and PDP will lead to Kashmir resolution?"
She has cautioned the people against the attempts to sabotage the ongoing freedom struggle by the some elements. She said they should act upon the programmes given by the sincere leadership only.
