Srinagar, Dec 9: Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad arrived here Sunday afternoon and from airport straightaway drove to upcoming legislature complex and took stock of the pace of work on Rs 22 crore project.
The construction work on the complex was put on fast track from August 2007 and targeted to be competed by April next.
Chief Minister also visited Governmental Dental College Srinagar and inspected work on additional block and auditorium presently under construction on fast track at a cost of Rs 29 crore. The work has been started in October 2006 and would be completed by June 2008.
Azad also inspected work on the construction of Nursing College being constructed at a cost of Rs 7.88 crore. The project, which has been launched in March 2006, will be completed by May 2008. It includes construction of administrative block, classrooms, laboratory and hostel facility.
Chief Minister stressed on completion of the projects within stipulated time and asked the executing agencies to maintain quality of work strictly. He also interacted with labourers and other skilled manpower engaged in the construction works.
