Srinagar: Employees Joint Action Committee (Q) leaders today arrived in Jammu for talks with the governor N N Vohra. The delegation was welcomed by its Jammu unit.
The delegation will meet with the governor as a part of the joint consultative committee for the implementation of the 6th pay commission, a statement issued by the Committee said. The Joint committee is an amalgam of the KAS officers association, secretariat non-gazetted employees association and both the factions of EJAC.
Apart from the implementation of pay commission, the delegation would also demand enhancement of retirement age, regularization and increase in the wages of daily wagers, adhocs, ReTs and other such posts.
The EJAC delegation comprises Fayaz Ahmed Shabnum, Farooq Ahmed Trali, Khursheed Ahmed Bhat, Khalid Mehmood Khan, Ghulam Rasool Bhat, Manzoor Ahmed Pampori, Farooq Ahmed Dar, Showkat Ali Beigh and Mir Ghulam Mohi-udin.
