Srinagar, Nov 9: Forestry graduates staged a protest demonstration at Press Enclave here on Thursday against the failure of the government to provide them jobs.
Protesters raised slogans against the Forest Minister and the government. Protesters said that government had no policy for them. "We are sitting idle after completing our degrees. In the Forest Department non technical people are being absorbed and government seems least concerned about us," said Muhammad Ashraf.
"We get admission in this course after clearing the common entrance test and our graduation takes four years. Government has made a mockery of our course and we not accommodated," said Jatinder Singh.
Protesters demanded that government should clear its stand over the issue and they threatened to intensify their agitation if there demands are not fulfilled.
