Srinagar, Nov 9: The Kashmiri Pandits have formed a political party, Jammu Kashmir National United Front and it candidates would contest 14 seats in the forthcoming assembly elections.
"The political parties are resorting to appeasement policy, with the result that our problems are not highlighted. To highlight our sufferings we have formed the party ," a local news agency PBI, quoted, the JKNUF, president A K Diwani as saying.
The party would contest 14 seats in the Valley. Its candidate, Rakesh Handoo, would contest against the former chief minister and the National Conference patron, Dr Farooq Abdullah from Hazratbal. " For family rule to end new faces have to come forward," Handoo told PBI.
